RENEWABLE ENERGY INDUSTRIAL GENERATOR

howDoesThatWork.jpg

How does it work ?

Solar energy is collected over a large mirror surface and concentrated onto a very small focal point.

The intense heat generated raises the temperature of the energy storage material, which is then converted into electricity — available at any moment.

Heat storage

The energy storage volume is calculated based on the required power output and local weather conditions.

During summer, surplus energy is stored in a thermal energy tank, ready to be drawn upon in winter when sunlight is scarce.

Electrical conversion

All major electrical conversion technologies are supported:

• Rankine Cycle
• Brayton Cyle
• Stirling engines
• Thermophotovoltaic cells

Hot water production and storage is available as a PGS plug-in option.

Use Case

Off-Grid Family Home

Energy independence, all year long.

This Permanent Generator Station (PGS) design example is sized for a family of 4 in a large house in Fontainebleau, France (49°N latitude), with air conditioning, an electric vehicle, and space heating provided by hot water from the system.

Daily Electricity Requirements

Electrical appliances: 14 kWh
Elexctrical vehicle: 12 kWh

Total: 26 kWh/day

Daily Heat Requirements

Domestic hot water & space heating: 14 kWh (thermal)
